Tomas Maier
the creative director, established the brand as one of the world's top luxury houses for the brand's signature bag. With his minimalist aesthetic and remarkable vision, creative director Tomas Maier has turned Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta into one of the biggest players in the luxury world.

The global recession bites, luxury shopping has become rather delicate affair for those who can still afford it. Who wants to be seen flashing the cash when most people have been forced to tighten their belts? The fashion elite's answer is "stealth wealth," Alpha shoppers are now shunning over sized logos and blingy designs in favour of more discreet luxury with subtle messaging and intricate craftsmanship. And while other brands are struggling to adjust to this trend, Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta has mastered recession-proof style with ease. "when your own initials are enough" is the brand's mantra. No logo adorns its products, yet every seasoned fashionista will recognise Bottega Veneta's famous intrecciato, or woven, leather.

In 1996, Bottega Veneta is founded in the Italian town of Vicenza, 1980 the brand garners a celebrity following with fans including Andy Warholand and Lauren Hutton. Singapore Sales

Sunny day

This morning, my sister and I went to the Isetan Private Sales in Singapore. When we reached there around 9am and the i got a shock to see such a long queue and we have to walk a few block away from the entrance to line up for entering the shopping mall. I asked my sister isn't it the global crisis now and everywhere people being retrench? Why still people buying like crazy??

We took about more than half an hour to get to the entrance and inside the shopping mall was even crowded. Everywhere and and everybody is queing for payment. I think this will be a good idea to boost up the economy GDP (Gross Domestic Product).

And when i return home i received a call from my good friend, she told me that she got retrenched . Is that really affect badly? I been hearing the news and friends' conversation about this topics. Everybody is predicting next year economy will be even more down trend and there will be even more retrenchment in next year.

So i hope with this everybody will spend wisely and have a good plan for our future and overcome this crisis.
